COSY AUTUMN DAYS

Autumn is undoubtedly my favourite time of year, the colours, the freshness in the air and the evenings snuggled up in blankets and surrounded by cushions

To earn your relaxation time though, there's no better way than donning your favourite jumper, a big coat and wellies then heading out into the colourful countryside

You can’t beat an autumn walk as the leaves are falling, and while you're out there you can pick the last of this year's sloes to make sloe gin. I like to collect leaves and conkers, I can’t resist the shine and they look gorgeous as autumnal decorations at home. This weekend the man and me, plus dogs went for an autumn stroll and the colours were just beautiful

The best part of autumnal walkies is also when you get home, you take off your boots and you prepare for an evening by the log burner with Strictly come dancing and a cup of cocoa – yes this is what my life entails these days, I’ve had an early on-set of old age and I love it!

Essential for snuggling up and getting cosy are blankets and cushions, I gathered  this lot together and along with one of my extra large floor cushions sprawled out all evening long with the dogs curling up next to me. Total bliss and I highly recommend it!

I hope that's inspired you to plan an autumnal weekend of walkies and snuggles on the sofa. Make sure you enjoy what autumn has to offer before it's gone
