Easy Dog Treats Recipe
This one won’t get you wanting to lick the spoon but you will gain a new four legged best friend! My mum's dog goes mad for these doggy treats, they’re clearly super tasty. Here’s my easy dog treats recipe which will get you into the good books of many a pooch.
To make your dog treats you’ll need:
300 grams of wholemeal flour
Pinch of salt
3 beef OXO cubes diluted in 150ml of warm water
Optional extra, bacon lardons (fried)
A bone shaped cutter is also useful, if the treats are bone shaped, they taste better...obviously
1) Prep your ingredients
First pre-heat the oven to 170 C. Weigh out your flour and add the egg and pinch of salt. If you’re adding bacon lardons, fry them off and ad them to the flour
Next, slowly pour in the stock as you mix everything together into a dough
3) Cut out your dog treats
Roll the dough out into about a 5mm thickness and cut out your treats and lay them out on a tray, ready to go in the oven.
I’ve got some interest all ready!
Cook the dog treats for 20 minutes, by this stage they should be slightly browned, if not leave them in for a little longer. Take them out and leave to cool before feeding to your dog
Next, prepare yourself to be very popular indeed with your four legged friends, you can thank me later.
