A Summer picnic at golden hour
How often is it sunny, in England, for a whooooole week with not a drop of rain?! Pretty much never, so I've been making the most of the long evenings.
As I closed my laptop it was clear that the dogs thought it was leg stretching time. Blankets and a ploughman's picnic were bundled into a basket and taken down to the fields.
Blankets and cushions are essential, by the way if you're planning a summer picnic...
The evening sun made the wheat fields look golden as we sat in the long grass and munched on brie filled baguettes whilst listening to the quiet hum of bumblebees. Just what English summers should be made of
I'm so glad we made the most of this gorgeous evening as the day will be starting to get shorter again soon
